Hi all. I just wanted to give a quick update since I haven’t been blogging regularly these days. I hope this finds you encouraged. (And if not, I pray that fresh courage would arise in you as you press into our God today.)
I currently have a Bible study on the book of Ephesians in the editing process with New Hope Publishers. It’s set to release in the winter. | Woohoo! | Prayers appreciated as we go through the final editing and design aspects of that project.
Also, I have another Bible study in the beginning stages; which is exciting. I haven’t been blogging much, but the Lord keeps inspiring me to put words/truths to paper. Lord willing, that study will follow in the coming months.
The Bridge Coffee & Thrift
I’m also completely honored that the Lord has led me to help open a coffee & thrift shop for a local non-profit organization called Hannah’s Haven.
“Coffee & Thrift?!” you say with excitement. “Yes!” I declare with equal enthusiasm, “Two of my favorite things under one roof!”
We’re going to open a shop called The Bridge that sells excellent coffee (and other various drinks & snacks) as well as quality pre-owned items, all in a unique, creative environment. All of the proceeds will go back to Hannah’s Haven to fund the freedom of more and more women from the bonds of addiction.
After months and months of looking and praying for a location, we’re getting REALLY excited as we have a possible location on the table. Prayers appreciated as we work through the lease negotiations, trusting the Lord to open or close the door as He wills. Join us on our Facebook page to keep up with the progress. And local Greensboro people, this shop will serve as an amazing opportunity for you to serve the women of Hannah’s Haven. How exciting is that?!
Our home life will change this fall as it appears that my homeschooling days will come to a pause. After four years of homeschooling, the Lord has opened the door for our kids to attend a local charter school. I have mixed emotions, but sense the Lord’s lead. So I know He will keep being faithful to draw them to Himself. | Insert a deep motherly sigh of losing what seemed like control over their hearts. Seemed. |
OK. I think that’s it for now. May we keep pressing in and on, sweet friends. Life is messy but God is good!
