That line – so, so true – brings tears to my eyes!

Knowing, understanding – just being able to read – God’s word in their own language can begin to break the foundations of many of the issues that we see in the world every day.

We see those who are poor in the material sense every day and they are a little easier to spot. Those who are poor for lack of access of God’s Word are not so obvious, but what they lack just breaks my heart. I am SO praying that every language will have God’s Word in our lifetime!

I was just thinking earlier today, what if I had never heard these wonderful words: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God” (John 1:1-2). Sometimes we just need to go back to the beginning…back to where we all came from…back to step one…back to our own moment of transformation…to realize that this world, for all its beauty and rhythm, can’t hold the key to lasting joy. For those of us who have experienced that joy, to quote an old 70s-era song, “we want to pass it on.” Giving to OneVerse is a great way to do it!
