Hi Lara, This reminded me of a survey that Gary Smalley took about 25-30 years ago. He surveyed 14,000 families to find out what one thing brought them together the closest as a family as the years went by. Would you believe it was camping! It seems that every camping trip has it's memorable (catastrophic?) event or incident. At the time, it causes tears, fears, and/or frustration. But, over the years, families seem to always come back to those memories and talk of them, laugh about them and generally draw close as they remember "the day when we were camping and the bear climbed into the tent ...", or something similar. I was raised tent camping with my folks and I raised my children tent camping. I can vouch for the truth of Gary's survey results through the many wonderful memories gathered during those times of trouble and terror while camping. So, in a way ... they WILL remember the things you did with them, along with how you made them feel :) ... and you will enjoy talking of those times for years to come.

Love Ya , Chuck
