In reply to emily thomas. I like to worry about the "how" too, Emily. And no, it's not the most faithful way to walk it out. Amazingly He's gracious with us and continually brings us back to truth! So thankful.

I love the lesson He teaches through Elisha one chapter earlier. When the enemy closes in around him and his servant in Dothan. His servant sees them and panics. I can relate. Panic is often my first response to an enemy. But wisely Elisha doesn’t try to bandage his fear with human words that seldom change anything. Elisha prays that the Lord will give his servant eyes to see beyond the enemy to the power of God’s army more than sufficient to defeat them. We can bless those we love so much more by praying in the midst of their panic for them to have eyes to see for themselves their God who is greater and equipped to deal with any enemy.

Yes. I KNOW He’s good and faithful and will work it out. What I like to worry about is HOW He will work it out and will it be the way I had hoped He’d do it. Annnd that’s not the most faithful way to walk out the journey. Thankful for the reminder that I do have a choice in how I walk it out. 🙂
