I’m heading to Myrtle Beach today to speak for a women’s conference and I am fired-up (pronounced more appropriately as farred-up). And I’ve decided to use my driving time wisely.
I’m determined to finish memorizing Philippians chapter 4 while I head down the interstate! Determined! It’s time, people. It’s time. I’m telling you so that I will actually do it. Knowing that you know my intentions holds me accountable. So there you have it.
I’m also going to be praying for you while I drive. And I mean that. I may not know you personally, but He knows you intimately.
Likewise your prayers for my time with these precious ladies are appreciated. God has a Word. And I’m believing Him to faithfully speak. Oh and, prayers for my man who will be holding down the fort back home are also appreciated.
Make it a blessed weekend of pressing deeper. He promises strength renewed to those who bind to Him.
But those who wait on the LORD (“bind” to the Lord)
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Fill me, Lord…
What do you have going on this weekend?
Let me know how I can specifically pray for you while I drive. I mean that!

Oh how fun! I will be praying for you too. I would love prayers for me to be able to find rest in Him. I am in a strange place this week coming off of my race and my journey out of fear series, I feel a bit like a foreigner standing in the middle of Grand Central Station, not knowing which connection to make next…. thanks for praying! Hope your weekend is awesome, God will use you and bless you, I have no doubt. Xo 😉

I specifically prayed for you on my drive. The image you gave was so vivid. Praying you enjoy this moment of rest before He leads you to that next “thing.” I just know He will guide. xoxo

Driving time can be truly productive. Two and from school (20 minute drive both ways), my son and I discuss life, but we take advantage of the time to pray for the needs of others. I also, when by myself, love to meditate on Him, listen to praise and worship music and talk to Him. Rarely do I have time all to myself, so time in the car, alone, is perfect for that.
Have a blessed weekend. May God anoint you as His vessel!

Yes, and I don’t have to listen to Veggie Tales! Glorious. Thanks for your word of blessing.

I am sooo encouraged by your blog…thank you!!!
Please pray for my back and obliques. I sleep like a crazy woman on my stomach and pull my leg up to my side (in my sleep, of course!) and I wake up in so much pain. I’ve tried everything (body pillows, tying my legs, sleeping on my back). The pain is really disruptive to my day. Weird request, but I’d appreciate your prayers!

Praying for you, Jill. That sounds painful.
