I’m spending time at The Better Mom blog today talking about how we as parents can teach our kids modest living amidst this materialistic world. Appropriate considering my post from yesterday about my entry into the smart world.
Stuff. More stuff. And then stuff on top of that stuff to keep my stuff clean, organized, updated, and hip. Even the word “consumerism” makes me think of hoarding more and more and MORE stuff.
In a world dripping with things, I feel the parental pressure. I don’t want my kids to grow up thinking that this material world fulfills that gaping hole in their hearts. But I hear it in their voices when we (loudly) make our way through Target…
