Love Down and Out
A number of years ago I started telling my kids, “Kids, we only have one thing to do in this life. We love God. We love people. We love up and out.” But in time God showed me that I had it upside down. My explanation was a bit self-focused and simplistic…even though they were toddlers at the time.
Through spending time in Ephesians, He reminded me that His love first comes down — awakening the soul of man. We have to first receive His love. We become deeply rooted in His love before we’re able to love those around us. And even then, His love — the love that’s meant to come out of us — isn’t a love like the world defines. His love fights for truth and wholeness and healing and holiness.
Love down and out.
Fast forward.
As writers do, the Lord led me to write this walk through Ephesians onto paper. And as I did, I tasted afresh the scandalous, gracious love of our Lord. Now, that journey through Ephesians is about to be officially released. A.K.A. my book comes out next month.
The first half of the study unpacks God’s immeasurable love that came down to earth through Christ. The second half of the study looks at how He empowers us to be vessels of His love onto this world.
If you’ve ever struggled to see and experience God’s great love for you, then this study would hopefully speak powerfully into that. If you’ve ever struggled to love those around you — truly love — due to fear or self-preservation, this study would hopefully speak tenderly into that as well.
The Invitation
When I was a little girl, sitting at my desk with a black and white composition book waiting for words to flow, I had no thoughts or desires about marketing said imaginary book. Now I know…I like the writing part. Not so much the marketing part. But alas, this is the world in which we live. People won’t know I wrote a book if I don’t tell them I wrote a book.
As I step into the marketing phase of this Bible study launch, I have to remind myself that the words in this book were a result of spending time with the Lord. He inspired me to pen the truths that line these pages. And His truths change lives…including my own.
So with deep trust that He graciously uses human words to impart eternal truths, I come to you for help. I’m just one girl in a world of billions of people. Billions. So I was thinking that maybe we could join hands and launch the study into this big world together. Yes?
Benefits of Joining the Launch Team
Why would you want to join me in the launch of Rooted? Well…
- You get a FREE paperback copy of Rooted before the publication date.
- Our launch team will gather in a private Facebook group where we can chat about the study together. I love that.
- You will be part of a team who places the truth of God’s love into the hands of people searching for love in all the wrong places. That reminds me of a song.
Requirements for Joining the Launch
Just three things would be required to join the team:
- Read/go through the study with the launch team starting the week of January 22nd.
- Write a brief review on Amazon before the release date (February 19th).
- Help spread the word online (and at coffee shops or at the dog groomer or at the nail salon) about the Bible study during the week of February 19th. I will make this part as easy for you as possible with quotes and images ready to share.
