It’s (pretty much) summer. Which doesn’t mean a whole lot to my schedule since we homeschool…and the weeks run together…and I’m always with my children. I love them fiercely, but…Jesus, help me.
Anyway. I’m excited about something that’s happening this summer.
A few months back I started asking God if He had another book that I could write. And I believe that He has answered with a “yes” as an idea is piling up in me as a mound of words. Soooo I sense Him leading me this summer into a season of writing — a time of fleshing it all out.
Why am I telling you? Well, because I can’t do it all. And since I still need to feed the people in my house and tend to their hearts and do some laundry…and shower, I’m going to step into an abbreviated blog schedule, which has slowly been happening anyway.
Lord willing, from now through August, I’m only going to post once per week — most likely on Tuesdays. And yes, I know it’s Monday but whatevs. As I seek Him for those weekly post, I pray He graces me with words that will linger in us. Words that we can meditate upon and will pierce us deep.
“In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.”
2 Corinthians 5:19-20
Why else am I telling you? Well, I’d really really really love it if you would pray for me. I totally believe in the power of prayer. And I know I need the covering of my Christian sisters and brothers. As do you.
- Pray I would be faithful with my small pockets of writing time.
- Pray that He would multiply my writing time once I actually get to sit down.
- And pray that He would anoint my words so that they would impact you and me and generations.
So that’s what’s kickin’ in my little world this summer. I’m excited and curious as to where He’s leading, trusting that He will be faithful.
Fill me, Lord…
