Our family is proof.
This God of ours does impossible things. Against-all-odds types of things. But He looks for those who will (imperfectly) believe Him.
And the angel answered (Mary), βThe Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy β the Son of God. And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.
For nothing will be impossible with God.
(Luke 1:35-37)
Merry Christmas, friends. I pray that hope arises in each of us as we celebrate the miraculous birth of our Lord Jesus this weekend. Remembering, our God still does the seemingly impossible.
Fill me, Lord…
What impossible thing is He calling you to believe Him for these days? I dare you to believe.
Merry Christmas, Lara! You are an inspiration to me!
Much love to you, friend.
Oh Lara- You’re family is just precious!!! Merry Christmas to you and yours my friend!!! Love you!!!
You too! I’ve missed “seeing” you. Much love.
That your family is proof — you must be referring to the fact that you have two boys and they are both looking at the camera without silly facial expressions at the same time! This is the biggest photography challenge!! π
Lovely picture, and a timely reminder.
It is just so backwards.
This silly God we serve isn’t demanding perfection first… in fact He knows we are incapable of it! He WANTS us to invite Him into our mess…
Oh the humility… the shame. π
But…
when I do?
The joy… the peace… the freedom.
Merry Christmas to you, and your beautiful, miraculous family.
Ha. That too! (But seriously, God restored our family from what should have been our devastation. He does impossible things.)
Merry Christmas, sister-friend!
Merry Christmas to you and your precious family Lara! Thank You for all the wisdom you impart and the way you bring God’s Word to life … you stir my heart and make my soul long for Him. {I so appreciate you!}
Blessings,
Wen
