teaching women to think on true things

June 6, 2012 By Lara

what bikinis make me think about

Last week I told you that the Lord prompted me to do something other than waste away under layers of sunscreen this summer. And I obeyed. (Yay.) In fact, we went to the nursing home last Thursday; and as we walked to the car my kids said, “When can we come back?!” Love that.

But after the nursing home, we did go to the pool for a couple of hours. And I have to tell you, all of the college girls in bikinis made me even more aware of the stretch marks hiding under my one-piece. And once again I had to choose to guard myself against comparison. Once again I had to remember true things…like how He says that we as His daughters are absolutely adorable.

I’m talking more about it over at Inspired To Action today. Won’t you join me? Click here to read more.

Thanks, Francie. His Word really does apply to everything, doesn’t it. Blessings to you as you walk out this faith, my friend.
