Here’s our family Christmas picture. But don’t be deceived. In our home we do the messy, loud living. We hurt each other with careless words and then forgive and forgive and forgive some more.
We’ve experienced deep wounds and walked some dark days. But by God’s absolute grace we’ve endured. We’ve danced on ashes.
It isn’t a place of nice and neat. Our home is a place of real life. A place we each learn how to truly love. A place of hope…because of Jesus.
So from our family to yours, Merry Christmas!
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and of peace
there will be no end…
Isaiah 9:6-7
