Over 40 of us have joined the challenge to memorize the Sermon on the Mount. And yes, you can still jump in!
But it isn’t about remembering and then reciting a bunch of words. It’s way more.
I pray that Jesus’ sermon changes us. I pray it affects how we respond to life and encourages us to abide in Him, come what may. Because otherwise what’s the point.
So this week we will meditate on verses 4-7.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Matthew 5:4-7
Fill me, Lord…
For those who joined me, how did your first week go?
What did you glean from last week’s verses?

4 Bless-eds, 4 answers from God. Blessed are mourners – comfort. Blessed are meek – inherit. Blessed are hungry and thirsty – satisfied. Blessed is mercy – receive mercy. Breaking it down helps me out a bit. This is awesome!
